VectorTrace vs Adobe Express Convert to SVG
Both turn a photo or a logo into an SVG in a browser tab. The structural difference is that one of them uploads your file to do it, and the other does not.

Warto wiedzieć
Adobe Express Convert to SVG is a hosted web tool: its page invites you to "Drag and drop an image or browse to upload", takes a JPEG, JPG or PNG up to 40MB, and returns an SVG that Adobe describes as powered by Adobe Illustrator. It is free to use and sits next to the rest of Express, which is where the result is most useful.
VectorTrace is also a browser tab, but the engine is a WebAssembly module inside it. Nothing is uploaded, so the tool works offline, has no file-size ceiling set by a server, and never holds your artwork. What we give up in exchange is the ability to run a large model on rented server hardware.
Canva ships an equivalent — an image-to-vector app in its editor, offered on its paid plans — and the same rows below apply to it: hosted, upload-based, SVG out. This page is about one product, so Canva is named here and compared nowhere.
No side-by-side benchmark exists yet. Our figures on the committed corpus are published with the date and the engine version that produced them; theirs are absent because we have not measured them, not because they lost. The row below points at our run and says exactly what it covers.
Czego nie zmierzyliśmy
- Which trace is closer to your original at the edges? Nobody has published a head-to-head, ours included: convert the same file in both, open the two SVGs at 800%, and look at where each boundary sits against the source pixels.
- Are you allowed to upload this particular file? For a client mark under NDA that question decides the tool before any quality comparison does.
- How many paths does each result carry for the same artwork? Your editor reports it, and it is the number that predicts how painful the cleanup will be.

Dlaczego vectortrace
- Pozycja 1 / 3
W przeglądarce i prywatnie
Silnik to WebAssembly działający w wątku roboczym na Twoim własnym urządzeniu. Twój obraz nigdy nie jest przesyłany — więc nie ma nic do wycieku, nic do usunięcia i nic, czemu trzeba by zaufać na słowo.
- Pozycja 2 / 3
- Pozycja 3 / 3
Formaty używane w druku i produkcji
SVG i PDF do grafiki; EPS i DXF dla ploterów, grawerek i oprogramowania hafciarskiego. Prawdziwe pliki, otwierane w Illustratorze, Inkscape i LibreCAD — a nie SVG z osadzonym JPEG-iem.
Pytania
- 01Is Adobe Express Convert to SVG free?
- Its own page says the tool is free to use and needs no credit card. Adobe Express is otherwise sold as a free plan and a premium plan; we link their pricing rather than restating figures that change without telling us.
- 02Does Adobe Express upload my image?
- Yes — it is a hosted tool, and its page describes dragging and dropping or browsing to upload the file. Ours does not: the trace runs in your tab, so there is no upload to inspect and nothing stored. Whether that matters depends on whether the file is yours to send.
- 03Which one is better for a logo?
- We have not measured either against the other, so we will not rank them. What we can say is what each is built to do: ours reproduces the mark in your file as closely as the pixels allow and writes cutter formats as well as SVG. Trace your own logo in both and judge the outlines.
- 04What about Canva?
- Canva offers an equivalent image-to-vector app inside its editor on its paid plans. It is the same hosted, upload-based shape as Adobe Express, so the rows on this page apply to it too — but a comparison page is about one product, so we have not written claims about Canva here.
