Vector files for embroidery digitizing

Digitizing starts with clean shapes. Trace the artwork into closed, disjoint paths with a thread-count palette, then hand it to your digitizing software.

Yazılımın ihtiyaç duyduğu

5 gereksinim
Closed paths
Every shape has to be a closed outline. An open stroke has no interior, and a fill stitch needs an interior to fill.
No stacked fills
Cutout mode gives one region per colour with nothing underneath it. Stacked output hides a full-size background shape under the artwork, and the machine stitches all of it.
Few colours
One colour is one thread change. The preset caps the palette at eight; drop it further to match the thread chart you actually have on the machine.
No detail below the stitch minimum
A shape narrower than a satin stitch cannot be sewn and will pucker the fabric. Speckle filtering removes those regions before they reach the digitizer.
Real size, decided early
A mark that reads at 120 mm across a jacket back does not read at 40 mm on a cap. Decide the sewn size before simplifying, because the simplification budget depends on it.

Nakış

The embroidery preset traces in cutout mode with a small palette and a heavy speckle filter. Cutout matters more than anything else here: stacked regions mean the machine stitches the same ground twice, once under the shape on top of it. Disjoint regions mean one pass per colour.

Sorular

3 soru
01Does this produce a stitch file — DST, PES, EXP?
No. It produces the clean vector artwork that a digitizing package turns into stitches. Stitch generation is where underlay, pull compensation and density live, and those are decisions about a specific fabric and a specific machine.
02Why does cutout mode matter so much for embroidery?
Because stacked tracing paints regions over each other. The bottom region is still full size underneath, so the machine sews the whole background and then sews the artwork on top of it — double the stitches and a stiff, puckered patch.
03How many colours should I trace to?
The number of threads you are willing to change. Four to six is normal for a logo. Trace to that number rather than trimming afterwards, so the tracer decides which shades merge.
